- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
- Unit Size: 19-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Patient Ratios: Critical 1:1, Neonatal 1:2, Intermediate 1:3
- Schedule Notes: Alternating weekends and 2 fall holidays
- Float Areas: Pediatrics and PICU
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 6 months of hire
- STABLE certification encouraged
- Ability to admit new patients to the NICU
- Experience working with ventilators preferred
- Experience with infection prevention preferred
- Strong teamwork skills and a flexible, dependable attitude
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and intermediate-level neonates
- Admit and stabilize new patients in the NICU
- Monitor and care for patients requiring multiple types of ventilatory support
- Initiate peripheral IV access and support central line maintenance and line changes
- Work closely with charge nurses and fellow RNs to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Maintain infection prevention standards and follow unit policies and attendance expectations
- Float to Pediatrics and PICU as needed
- Contribute to a positive team environment focused on collaboration and excellent patient outcomes
