Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Level III in a healthcare setting. This position involves providing specialized care for critically ill neonates, including managing advanced respiratory support and therapeutic cooling. The role requires a highly experienced nurse capable of independently handling high-acuity neonatal cases to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position Description: NICU Registered Nurse (RN) Level IIIprovides direct nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates, including infants requiring therapeutic hypothermia and advanced respiratory support.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Candidates should have 4+ years of experience caring for high-acuity and critically ill neonates, including therapeutic cooling procedures.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Experience with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, high-flow oxygen, and managing invasive lines such as central, PICC, and umbilical lines is essential. Candidate must recognize neonatal deterioration, participate in resuscitations, perform comprehensive assessments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to provide education and emotional support to families is required.
