Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Neuro

Position Information

This is an opportunity for a Registered Nurse specializing in Neuro/Ortho/Trauma. The position involves nighttime shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. A commitment of 36 guaranteed hours per week is expected, with weekend shifts required every other weekend. Float requirements may apply as needed.

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 26
Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 on days, 1:5-6 on nights
Electronic Medical Records: Epic

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will care for neurosurgical patients, which include:

Spinal surgery
Spine fractures
Brain tumors
Seizure disorders
Ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunts
Head bleeds
Traumatic injuries
Joint replacement surgeries

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience: Neuro/Neurosurgical experience is essential.
Personality Fit: Must be a proactive team player with a positive attitude.
Education: No specific certification is required, but relevant experience in neurology is expected.
