Description:
This is a 225-bed specialty care hospital providing a wide range of services including Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, and more.
The facility includes the region's premier imaging, surgery, and laboratory services.
The unit has 36 beds with patient ratios of 1:5-6 for cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for the PCU/stepdown population.
Telemetry monitoring equipment is utilized, and the electronic health record system is Cerner.
Patient population includes individuals requiring cardiac care with trauma and stepdown level of care.
Common diagnoses include chest pain, VATS, Stroke/TIA, pre and post open-heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular issues, and CHF.
Teamwork is essential in this role.
Dress code requires scrubs in blue or navy.
Unacceptable attire includes blue jeans.
