Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in Neuro Stepdown is required.
License: Must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact license in hand.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required.
Must-Have:
- Recent Neuro Stepdown experience (travel experience is acceptable).
- Must work at least every other holiday.
- Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation.
- One reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required.
Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Neuro Stepdown specialty.
The role is designed to provide winter coverage.
Candidates must have a minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
This experience may be obtained from multiple locations but is preferred to be within one location.
Recent Neuro Stepdown experience is crucial, and travel experience will also be considered.
Applicants must hold a valid Ohio license or a compact state license.
Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory at the time of submission.
Candidates must be prepared to work every other holiday.
During orientation, two assessments will be conducted: ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate.
An acceptable score on both assessments is required.
Candidates will have two attempts to pass these assessments; otherwise, they will be canceled.
All required certifications must be active and in hand at the time of submission.
References must be from assignments worked in the past 12 months and cannot be co-worker references.
Compliance with additional contract requirements is mandatory.
Nurses are eligible for a temporary exemption from nicotine-free facility requirements.
Travel candidates who do not complete the annual required competencies will no longer remain on the schedule until completion.
