The unit operates with a flexible acuity model, serving patients in stepdown and telemetry levels of care. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Candidates with 1 year of experience in PCU/Stepdown are preferred. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Floating may be required to similar units as needed. The facility is a teaching hospital with a total of 497 staffed beds. Daily census in the unit is approximately 18 patients. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Candidates should have experience using EPIC for charting. Key skills required include: managing IVs, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy care. This position does not require on-call duty.
