Ratios are set at 1:4. Candidates should have previous experience working in PCU/Stepdown settings. Floating may be required to similar units as needed. All candidates must submit their requested time off dates at the time of application. The facility is a short-term acute care unit with a total of 497 staffed beds. Daily patient census is approximately 18. The unit's interdisciplinary support includes various specialized services. Candidates will be responsible for a variety of tasks and procedures specific to neuro stepdown and telemetry patients. Such skills include managing and interpreting various telemetry functions, blood product administration, and caring for patients with tracheostomies. Candidates must comply with all facility requirements, including fit testing for respiratory clearance. Candidates must not have worked as a traveler for over one year and will need to complete a six-month break before returning as a traveler. Modules required for orientation will be completed prior to the position start date. This is a travel nursing position; local candidates are not accepted.
