- Ability to float to like units when needed
Description:
This position requires a nurse with experience in neuro stepdown and progressive care.
The nurse will be responsible for the care of neuro stepdown and progressive patients.
Drip titration experience is preferred.
If not experienced in drip titration, the nurse will float to Medical-Surgical or Telemetry units.
Equipment used in the unit includes EPIC, PYXIS, Philips defibrillator, and Philips bedside monitors.
The nurse-to-patient ratio will be 3-4:1 on progressive care and 4-5:1 on Medical-Surgical units.
Three weekend shifts are required within a 4-week schedule.
Nurses will never work alone, ensuring adequate support.
Travelers must complete specific unit training and participate in required training sessions.
Floating to other units may occur when necessary, maintaining appropriate patient ratios.
