    Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients with complex neurological conditions including acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, status epilepticus, and post-craniotomy care
    • Operate and monitor specialized neuro ICU equipment including ICP monitors, external ventricular drains (EVDs), continuous EEG, mechanical ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous catheters
    • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2, with up to 1:3 for stable, lower-acuity patients, within a 22-bed unit averaging a daily census of 21
    • Administer targeted temperature management, infusion therapy, and point-of-care testing as indicated by patient condition
    • Float within the specialty and to lower-acuity areas as needed; on-call may be required
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
    • Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
    • BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
    • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (locals under 50 miles are not accepted unless explicitly stated)
    • Must be available for every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
    • Must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the only accepted online vendor)
    • NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
    • Experience with neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis or Guillain-Barré syndrome
