Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Neurological Nurse in Hawaii. This position involves providing specialized care in a Level I trauma designated medical center with a focus on neurological patients. The role requires a dedicated nursing professional with healthcare experience in critical care settings to support patient needs in a fast-paced, tertiary hospital environment.
Job Details
- Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Active, unencumbered Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license required. BLS/HCP, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory. Must pass an EKG exam with a score of 80% or better during orientation.
- Experience: Three or more years of Intensive Care Unit Staff RN experience, excluding travel assignments, in large tertiary/quaternary, Level 1 trauma centers. Experience in mixed Medical/Surgical ICU and/or specialty ICUs is preferred. Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and ICU Float Pool work is highly desired. Previous travel ICU experience and experience within the Queen's Health System are strongly preferred.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Talent must complete all compliance elements and upload required documentation at least 10 days before the start date. Associated responsibilities include floating to other nursing units based on operational needs. RTO requests should be limited; limited RTO is subject to approval after 30 days on assignment.
- Submission Requirements: Current NURSYS report must be included with all submissions. If the RN is not needed on their primary unit, they will be assigned to alternative roles such as nursing assistant or safety sitter.
