TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Neuro ICU for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Neuro ICU RN — Assignment Details

Unit: 8-bed Neuro ICU
 

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience with a Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background
  • Strong neuro assessment skills and familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring required
  • One completed travel assignment preferred
  • Wisconsin RN license, BLS, ACLS and NIHSS required; AHA or ARC accepted for BLS/ACLS
  • Epic experience required
  • Neurointerventional experience a plus
  • Strong independent practice, teamwork and adaptability

Schedule and patient care

  • Patients: Stroke, TBI, head injuries and neurosurgical patients
  • Procedures: Neuro assessments and bedside ICU procedures, including support for line placement, intubation, and bolt/drain placement with Neurosurgery
  • Floating: Between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU; may float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
  • Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and every other holiday
  • On-call: None
  • Scrubs: Any color
