Neuro Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

The Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NCCU) is a specialized unit dedicated to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients with complex neurological conditions. This 18-bed unit combines Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) capabilities to provide expert care for individuals recovering from acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, neurointerventional radiology procedures, and various neurosurgical interventions.

The NCCU is equipped with advanced monitoring technology and utilizes evidence-based practices to optimize neurological recovery and enhance patient outcomes. Our multidisciplinary team focuses on collaborative care involving neurosurgeons, neurointensivists, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation specialists, and various other interdisciplinary members.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill neuroscience patients.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care throughout recovery.
Utilize advanced monitoring techniques and state-of-the-art technology in patient management.

Qualifications

Neuro ICU experience is required.
Current certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS.
Valid nursing license in Massachusetts.
Experience with Epic and Level 1 trauma care is necessary.
Must have a separation period of 6 or more months from previous employment with related organizations.
Travel may be required.
Local candidates will not be considered.

Contract Details

Guaranteed hours per assignment are 72 hours biweekly, which do not include any additional time worked.
