Job Title: Neuro Intensive Care Unit Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in an ICU setting. License: Active state RN license or compact license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience or 2 years of experience in a comprehensive stroke center - Capability to work in a fast-paced ICU treating neurological diseases and disorders - Flexibility to float to other units as needed Description: This position involves working in a Neuro Intensive Care setting. You will be responsible for the care of patients with neurological diseases and disorders, including strokes and seizures. The role includes managing overflow patients from other ICU units. The nurse must read and interpret cardiac strips accurately. You will provide comprehensive nursing care under high-stress and fast-paced conditions. Knowledge of advanced monitoring and treatment modalities is required. Regular floating to other units will be necessary based on staff needs and patient census. This includes potential assignments to overflow patients or related specialties. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in managing ventilated patients, central lines, and various ICU procedures.
