Job Summary:
Neuro Critical Care Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit Neurological in a fast-paced facility. This role involves providing specialized care to neuro and stroke patients, including post thrombectomy and TNK patients requiring detailed neuro assessments. The position offers night shift hours, with a focus on patient throughput and interdisciplinary support.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse license, California Board of Nursing certification, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications. Minimum of 2 years of neuro ICU experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic charting system, trauma Level I or II experience, and neuro-specific procedures.
- Float: May float to Emergency Department, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have a current California RN license and in-hand certifications. Candidates are required to upload licensure and certifications via Nursys within the last 2 weeks. All compliance documents must be submitted 10 days prior to start date.
- Travel Experience: Yes, travel experience required.
- Experience: At least 2 years of clinical experience in neuro ICU.
- Other Requirements: Previous charge nurse experience preferred; experience in managing arterial lines, neuro-specific equipment, and stroke protocols is highly desirable.
