TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in York, Pennsylvania, 17403!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in Neuro ICU License: Active RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, ENLS Must-Have: Neuroscience ICU background; strong experience in EVD, ICP, angiogram post care, CRRT, carotid, and embolization. Description: Must have a strong Neuroscience ICU background. Experience with external ventricular drains (EVD) and intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring is required. Familiarity with angiogram post care and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is essential. Candidates must be able to manage carotid procedures and embolization care. Travelers will be expected to work 2 of the 3 upcoming major holidays. If the contract spans only 2 of these holidays, the traveler will be required to work 1 of 2 holidays. A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed. Travelers may be asked to float to other floors as needed, including ICU and acute care units. The unit provides care to critically ill patients, including those with strokes and non-traumatic neurosurgery. Post-operative care may include mechanical thrombectomy, aneurysm repair, and craniotomy. The nursing staff will manage ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring. Candidates may care for COVID patients. This facility is tobacco and fragrance-free. All certifications must be from recognized organizations. Specific clinical experience is evaluated during the pre-screening process. Additional skills required include management of dysrhythmias, interpretation of arterial blood gases, and care of ventilated patients. Candidates must have experience with central line care and management, as well as blood product administration. The unit encourages interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
