Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Weekend night shift rotation every 4 weeks; weekend shifts consist of Friday and Saturday nights (Sunday is not considered a weekend shift); block scheduling is not guaranteed

Highlights:

  • Neuro ICU specializing in stroke care, neurosurgery, traumatic brain injury, and complex neurological conditions
  • Patient ratio estimated at 1:1 to 1:2 for high-acuity neuro patients
  • Epic EMR experience required; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams
  • Advanced neuro monitoring including EVD, ICP monitoring, and EEG capabilities
  • Bedside procedures include tracheostomy, PEG tube placement, central line and arterial line insertion
  • Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
  • Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure monitoring
  • Experience with arterial lines, central lines, continuous IV sedation, vasoactive drips, and blood product administration
  • Competency in care of ventilated patients, CVA/acute stroke management, post-craniotomy care, and traumatic brain injury
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership position)
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
