TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103!

Start Date: October 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend required. Scheduling based on unit needs.

Highlights:

  • Work in a 26-bed Neuroscience and Surgical ICU within a comprehensive stroke center
  • Staffing ratios typically 2:1, occasionally 3:1 or 1:1 based on patient acuity
  • 13-week assignment or longer available through February 2027
  • Utilize EPIC documentation system with Pyxis medication management
  • 24-hour orientation program with robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • Float to other ICU and intermediate care units as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU or critical care nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
  • Demonstrated competency in ICP monitoring, ventilator management, telemetry, EVD management, stroke management, seizure management, and titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips
  • Experience with arterial lines, central line management, continuous IV sedation, blood product administration, and invasive equipment
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
