Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend required; per unit needs scheduling
Highlights:
- 26-bed Neuroscience and Surgical ICU within a comprehensive stroke center
- Staffing ratios typically 2:1, occasionally 3:1 or 1:1 based on patient acuity
- Advanced critical care environment with EVD management, ventilator management, Zoll temperature management/Arctic Sun, and PCA pumps
- EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication management
- 13-week assignment or longer (through February 27 end date)
- 24-hour orientation with comprehensive interdisciplinary team support
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
- Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
- Demonstrated experience with ICP monitoring, ventilator management, and telemetry
- Strong background in stroke management, seizure management, and critical drip titration
- Willingness to float to other ICUs and intermediate care units as needed
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Additional Information:
- Scrubs not provided; navy blue, white, or combination required
- Up to 7 days of approved time off (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Pre-start online modules required (approximately 8-10 hours, non-billable)
