Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro ICU

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Neuro ICU team. This critical care unit provides intensive management for patients with life-threatening neurological and neurosurgical conditions, including but not limited to central nervous system tumors, acute strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and neuromuscular diseases.

Schedule

Shifts: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
Every other weekend and holiday required
Work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
36 or 48 hours available
Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the Neuro ICU.
Monitor and assess patient status, administering medications and treatments as required.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement high-quality care plans.
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and care plans.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
NIH Stroke certification required (can submit with certification pending).
Experience with Epic electronic health record system is required.
Adhere to floating policies as necessary.
Must be willing to submit for a VA license if not already licensed.
