Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could lead to a cancellation.
The unit has a patient ratio of 2:1, which can flex up to 3:1 during high census situations.
The average daily census is between 11-12 patients.
Weekend work is required every other weekend.
The patient population includes strokes (ischemic and hemorrhagic), subdural hematomas, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling, and seizures.
The unit functions as a comprehensive stroke center and requires the use of specialized drains such as external ventricular drains, lumbar drains, and others.
Experience with arterial line management is preferred.
Strong skills in the management of ventilated patients, blood product administration, central line care, and neuro intensive care are required.
Candidates must be comfortable with floating as needed within the facility.
All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting.
Weekend coverage is expected as part of the job responsibilities.
Isolation precautions and the use of personal protective equipment are mandatory.
All clinical modules must be completed pre-start and annually based on specialty.
This position involves working with interdisciplinary teams, including IV services, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and more.
All procedures and care are focused on providing the highest quality of care to patients in a critical state.
