Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years in Neuro ICU License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS TNCC Must-Have: Previous charge experience Trauma Level I experience Experience with the Epic charting system Travel experience Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Neuro ICU. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro Critical Care Unit. This position requires experience in managing patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, brain trauma, and spinal cord injuries. Candidates should be proficient in various nursing skills, including but not limited to: Accessing and managing ports. Arterial line management. Assisting with chest tube insertion and removal. Blood product administration. Care of ventilated patients. Central line care and management. Continuous IV sedation management. Neuro intensive care protocols. Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias. Suctioning and management of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction or failure. This is a mixed acuity unit with a patient ratio expected to be manageable. Weekend and holiday work may be required. Strong interdisciplinary support will be available, including respiratory services, physical therapy, and social services.
