Well-rounded in all neuro cases. Description: The position involves working in a neurology surgery operating room. The average number of cases per day is approximately 200 neuro surgeries per month. There are 4 operating rooms available. Each room will have 1 RN circulator and 1 RN/Scrub tech to scrub. A charge nurse is available Monday through Friday. The charge nurse does not take a team/operating room. A lead supervisor and charge for neurosurgery are present 24 hours a day. A house supervisor is also available 24/7. OR techs are present in the operating rooms. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC Optime. Shifts are from 0700 to 1730 with evening call shifts from 1530 to 0700. There are night call requirements of 1 to 2 nights a week. Weekend rotation is approximately once per month. Holiday call is also required. In rare cases, floating may occur due to staffing. Scrubs will be provided in blue color. Personal shoes must be brought to the facility. Unit specific orientation is typically 40 hours. The work environment is acute care.
