Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology / Moderate SedationSchedule
- 36 or 40 hours per week
- Day shifts, 10 or 12 hours
- On-call required for weekends and nights
Position Overview
- Join a dedicated team that provides moderate sedation in a fast-paced procedural area
- Care for patients undergoing preventative and interventional stroke care
- Responsibilities include intraoperative moderate sedation and circulating when not providing moderate sedation
- The RN administers moderate sedation, closely monitors the patient's cardiac and physical status, and collaborates with the physician to ensure safety, comfort, and privacy
Required Qualifications
- RN License (NY License ONLY)
- Moderate Sedation experience required
- IR (Interventional Radiology) experience required
- Minimum two (2) years of experience required
- Telemetry required
- Ability to administer and monitor conscious sedation independently required
- Circulate ONLY
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital
- Operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital
Required Certifications
- BLS – American Heart Association ONLY
- ACLS – American Heart Association ONLY
