Job Title: Travel RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg Ortho, Client Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current WI License Certifications: NIHSS, CPR/BLS Must-Have: Education verification Description: We are seeking experienced nurses. The candidates must have an education verification and current WI License. NIHSS and CPR/BLS certifications are required. Travel RNs will be required to float to multiple in-patient units, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, Ortho/Neuro, and Sub-Acute units. This position will require working every other weekend and holiday on the night shift. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient as prescribed by a physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
