Description:
Med Surg Neuro RN position available.
Shifts are 3x12 Nights with every other weekend rotation and rotating holidays.
On-call requirements will be determined by unit needs.
Every other weekend is required.
Ratios include Team RN, LPN, and NA with 6-7 patients.
RN and LPN will manage 5 patients.
RN and NA will handle 4 patients.
The Progressive Care Unit has a 1:3 ratio.
Utilize a Team nursing model that includes RN, LPN, and NA within the unit.
Primary nursing model is used for registered nurses and nursing assistants in the step-down unit.
Rapid Response Teams are utilized.
Travelers may float to other like units including surgical care, medical units, and inpatient rehabilitation.
Candidates cannot live within 25 miles of the facility.
No time off requests within the first week of start date.
No more than 10 days of time off per assignment.
Daily census ranges from 37 to 42 patients.
Unit serves adults and geriatrics.
The environment is fast-paced with a strong team philosophy.
Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as physical therapy and respiratory services.
Patient diagnoses primarily consist of neurological, neurosurgical, and neurointerventional cases.
Unit includes beds designated for a progressive care step-down.
Special equipment includes ceiling lifts in patient rooms and monitoring capabilities.
Designated as a comprehensive stroke center.
Candidates must complete required lab work and fingerprinting as mandated.
No exceptions for licensing and vaccination exemptions will be entertained.
Holiday coverage will be required as needed.
