The nurse will work in a 36-bed unit with a staff of 40. The typical patient ratios are 5:1 during the day and 6:1 or 7:1 at night. Standard medical surgical equipment will be used. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner. Candidates must hold ACLS and NIH certifications. Preferred skills include experience in neuro care. The ideal candidate will be outgoing and self-motivated. Every other weekend and on-call shifts may be required. A reference book will be provided at the start of the contract. The unit adheres to specific guidelines and policies for staff.
