Shift is 12 hours from 18:45 to 07:15. 36 or 48 hours accepted. Must float as required. Every other weekend is required. No more than 7 days of requested time off. Must be able to work holidays. The patient ratio is 1:6. Contract staff will be assigned to a Storm Team or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster. Consolidation to a centralized office mid-contract may occur. Unit systems include medication, documentation, and communication software. Experience with Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR is preferred. The daily census on the unit is 24. The unit focuses on general medicine with a focus on neuro patients. Interdisciplinary support is available. Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty. Patient diagnoses include general medicine with a focus on neuro. Scrubs must be navy blue. This is a neuro unit. Local candidates are accepted at a local rate.
