Must-Have:
- 1 to 6 nurse to patient ratios experience.
- Familiarity with Epic charting system.
- Experience with blood product administration, central line management, chest tubes, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube care, insulin management, and wound care.
Description:
The role involves providing nursing care in a medical-surgical neuro unit during night shifts.
The position offers both 36-hour and 48-hour workweek options.
Anything over 48 hours is considered overtime.
Candidates must possess BLS and NIHSS certifications, with CPI preferred.
Nurse to patient ratios are maintained at 1:6.
Rapid response team activation is part of the role.
Travelers with first-time experience are accepted.
Floating to like units may be required.
Weekend shifts consist of 6 shifts within a 6-week period.
The unit has a total of 32 beds.
There is no on-call requirement.
The organization provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Qualifications include experience in medications and care management related to CVA, renal failure, and pre/post hemodialysis management.
Travel experience is not required but is preferred.
