Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg; Neuro Acute Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, NIHSS (AHA) Must-Have: Neuro/post-stroke acute care experience Dysphagia screenings Stroke assessments BCMA experience Time management skills Interdisciplinary communication skills Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a medical/surgical unit specializing in neuro acute care. The nurse will work the night shift from 18:45 to 07:15. Weekly guaranteed hours are 36, with the possibility of cancellation up to three times per contract. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients in a 24-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:6. General hospital equipment will be used in the acute care unit. The electronic medical record system utilized is Cerner. Candidates must have experience in neuro/post-stroke care and be skilled in dysphagia screenings and stroke assessments. Strong time management and interdisciplinary communication skills are essential. Preferred experience includes TR band management. The position requires adaptability, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach. Navy blue scrubs are the designated uniform. Fingernails must comply with TJC and CMS guidelines, and shoes must be close-toed with backs.
