Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Travel Registered Nurse on an Acute Neuro Unit in Cumming, Georgia. This role involves providing specialized care to patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, requiring a high level of clinical expertise and critical thinking.
You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for patients with acute neurological needs. This is a 16-week contract assignment, working 12-hour shifts, three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and ongoing monitoring of patient status.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Manage and monitor patients with various neurological conditions, including stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgical care.
- Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment relevant to neurological care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care experience within an Acute Neuro Unit or similar specialty.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Shift Details
- Shift Type: AM
- Hours: 12-hour shifts, typically 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM.
- Days per Week: 3 days per week.
- Contract Length: 16 weeks.
- Assignment Dates: September 14, 2026 - January 2, 2027.
- Holiday Requirements: Must work two (2) major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one (1) minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve) during the assignment period.

Licensing Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
