Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment on an Acute Neuroscience Unit in Cumming, Georgia. This role is crucial for providing high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to patients with a variety of neurological conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for neurologically compromised patients within an acute care setting. This position requires a strong foundation in medical-surgical nursing principles combined with specialized knowledge in neuroscience.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in an Acute Neuroscience or Medical-Surgical unit with neurological patient populations.
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Cumming, Georgia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in neurological assessment and monitoring.
- Strong medical-surgical nursing skills, including medication administration, wound care, and post-operative care.
- Ability to manage patients with various neurological conditions such as stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
