Job Summary

Join a dedicated team as a Registered Nurse on an Acute Neuro Unit at a leading facility in Cumming, Georgia. This role involves providing specialized, compassionate care to patients with various neurological conditions, including stroke, head trauma, and other complex neuro-medical needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Acute Neuro Unit, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Monitor neurological status, vital signs, and administer medications as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Manage and operate specialized equipment relevant to neurological care, including continuous EEG monitoring, ICP monitoring, and ventilator support.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and execute individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on neurological conditions, treatment plans, medication management, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, ensuring compliance with all documentation requirements.
  • Respond to emergent situations and provide critical care interventions as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within an Acute Neuro Unit or similar specialty.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
