    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – NICU (12-Hour Days)

    Location

    Tacoma, WA | NICU (Level IV)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (0700–1930) | Every-other-weekend rotation

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients ranging from 22 weeks gestation through high-acuity diagnoses including RDS, NAS, and high-risk deliveries
    • Manage and monitor respiratory support including mechanical ventilators, NCPAP, and related equipment
    • Perform and maintain UAC/UVC management, PICC lines, G-tubes, and NG/OG tubes
    • Administer medications and develop, implement, and update individualized patient care plans
    • Coordinate and facilitate safe discharge-to-home planning for NICU patients
    • Float to MedSurg or PICU for patients 1 year and under, or serve in a Helping Hands capacity as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of Level III or Level IV NICU experience
    • Active Washington State RN License
    • BLS Certification (required)
    • NRP Certification (required)
    • Demonstrated proficiency with respiratory support for ventilated patients
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
    • Experience with tracheostomy care (highly preferred)
    • Experience caring for surgical NICU patients
    • Experience with HIE (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy) patients
