    Job Title

    Travel RN – Special Care Nursery / NICU (Level 2)

    Location

    Somerset, Kentucky

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 2 Weekend Shifts Per Month | No Call Requirements

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in an 8-bed Level 2 Special Care Nursery, including full-term, early-term, and pre-term neonates
    • Manage common neonatal diagnoses and treatments including NAS/NOWS, TTN, IV antibiotics, Bubble CPAP, and OG/NG feedings
    • Attend deliveries and initiate and manage NRP resuscitation as needed
    • Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3 in accordance with unit standards
    • Document patient care accurately using Meditech and GE Centricity EHR systems
    • Float to Mother/Baby Postpartum unit as required
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in good standing (Kentucky or compact state eligibility)
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery or higher-level NICU
    • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required prior to start
    • Current STABLE certification required prior to start
    • Current BLS certification required prior to start
    • Travel candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility location
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience attending deliveries and independently leading NRP resuscitation
    • Mother/Baby couplet care or postpartum nursing experience
    • Familiarity with Meditech and/or GE Centricity electronic health record systems
