Travel RN – Special Care Nursery / NICU (Level 2)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 2 Weekend Shifts Per Month | No Call Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in an 8-bed Level 2 Special Care Nursery, including full-term, early-term, and pre-term neonates
- Manage common neonatal diagnoses and treatments including NAS/NOWS, TTN, IV antibiotics, Bubble CPAP, and OG/NG feedings
- Attend deliveries and initiate and manage NRP resuscitation as needed
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3 in accordance with unit standards
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech and GE Centricity EHR systems
- Float to Mother/Baby Postpartum unit as required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (Kentucky or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery or higher-level NICU
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required prior to start
- Current STABLE certification required prior to start
- Current BLS certification required prior to start
- Travel candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility location
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience attending deliveries and independently leading NRP resuscitation
- Mother/Baby couplet care or postpartum nursing experience
- Familiarity with Meditech and/or GE Centricity electronic health record systems
