Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Level III/IV NICU serving neonates from 23–24 weeks gestation
- Operate and monitor advanced respiratory equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, High Frequency Ventilators, Oscillators, and conventional Vents
- Administer blood and blood products; manage PICC/central lines and syringe pumps
- Attend high-risk deliveries and support neonatal surgical cases
- Perform procedures including Cardioversion/Defibrillation, Cooling/Warming Blanket therapy, and Feeding Tube management
- Float to sister campuses or alternate units (e.g., Special Care Nursery, Pediatrics/Newborn Nursery) as needed; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience
- Must be willing to float to different campuses when needed
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals accepted under separate terms)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-acuity Level III or IV NICU environment
- Familiarity with neonatal surgical support and high-risk delivery attendance
- Comfort working in a large NICU setting with variable daily census
- Flexibility with block scheduling and multi-campus float assignments
