Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Epic electronic health record system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Participate in on-call duties and weekend shifts as required by the facility
- Adhere to unit-specific protocols and comply with all facility policies, including float requirements to sister facilities as needed
- Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses are not accepted
- BLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of Level III NICU experience
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; post-submission RTO requests may not be considered
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are also encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Experience floating between units or facilities in a travel or per-diem capacity
