    TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified NICU RN in San Diego, California, 92123!

    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – NICU

    Location

    San Diego, CA | Acute Care – Level 4 NICU

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 or 18 weeks | 3x12-hour shifts | Variable days/nights or straight nights | November 9 start date

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Level 4 NICU environment, including pre- and post-operative care for neonatal surgical patients
    • Operate and monitor advanced equipment including oscillators, conventional ventilators, CPAP, nasal cannula specialty gases, and manage PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC/UVC/PAL lines, trachs, ostomies, and G-tubes
    • Perform complex line management involving multiple drips and hemodynamic monitoring
    • Float within scope of practice to PICU, CTICU, and Med Surg units as needed, as well as NICU satellite campuses; mileage reimbursed from home base NICU location
    • Maintain availability to work weekends with full scheduling flexibility
    • Work 2 of the following 3 holidays (including eves): Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's — no holiday RTO permitted
    Required Qualifications
    • Active California RN license required (pending license considered if ETA from licensing board is available prior to start)
    • Minimum 2 years of recent Level 4 NICU experience; strong Level 3 NICU surgical experience may be considered
    • BLS certification required
    • Advanced NRP certification required
    • Cardiac experience required
    • Must have own reliable transportation
    • Must be willing to float to PICU, CTICU, Med Surg, and satellite NICU campuses
    • Maximum of 6 days RTO; must be confirmed upfront — no holiday RTO permitted
    • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • PALS certification
    • Experience in a Magnet-recognized or teaching children's hospital
    • First-time travelers with verified Level 4 NICU experience will be considered
    • Level 3 NICU RNs with strong surgical experience caring for newborns undergoing surgery may be considered
