    Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients ranging from 22 weeks gestation and up, including micro preemies and infants with complex diagnoses such as abdominal defects, congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn (PPHN), and pre-cardiac repair conditions
    • Titrate drips per physician orders, including Fentanyl, Morphine, and Precedex>
    • Manage and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including conventional ventilators, oscillator ventilators, JET ventilators, CPAP, nasal IMV, heated high flow, and tracheostomy
    • Monitor all patients using Philips monitoring systems and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
    • Participate in self-scheduling including every other weekend coverage (Friday and Saturday nights for night shift, as needed based on facility needs) and holiday coverage as required
    • Float to other units as needed, including PICU, pediatrics, nursery, and others per staffing requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
    • Current BLS certification
    • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
    • Ability to titrate drips per physician orders in a Level 3 NICU environment
    • Must comply with drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Level 3 or Level 4 NICU experience strongly preferred
    • Experience with micro preemie care preferred
    • Familiarity with advanced respiratory equipment including oscillator and JET ventilators
