Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 NICU setting during overnight shifts
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support neonatal patient outcomes
- Adhere to facility scheduling requirements, including weekend rotation of 5 shifts per 6-week cycle
- Float within scope of practice to other units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license — no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Current BLS, NRP/NALS, and STABLE certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the contracted facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Valid driver's license or state-issued ID, plus a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address dated within the last three months, required for compliance verification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating across multiple units or facilities within a large health system
- Familiarity with travel nursing compliance requirements and documentation standards
