    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care in a Level III NICU setting, including neurologic care for neonatal abstinence syndrome and care for neonates 29–34 weeks and greater than 34 weeks gestational age
    • Administer blood products, start and maintain IVs, perform phlebotomy, and manage medications including anti-seizure drugs, antibiotics/antivirals, steroids, and neonatal dosage calculations
    • Monitor cardiovascular status with telemetry; provide respiratory support including management of ventilated/intubated patients, HFNC, and oxygen delivery systems; manage respiratory distress
    • Support breastfeeding, manage enteral feedings and tube placement, perform glucose monitoring and insulin administration, and provide phototherapy for hyperbilirubinemia; colostomy/ileostomy care as needed
    • Deliver developmental care, conduct patient and family teaching, and implement infection control and isolation precautions including sepsis workup
    • Chart accurately using EPIC (required) and Crib Notes; float within skillset to NBN, Peds, and PICU as needed based on census, acuity, and staffing
    Required Qualifications
    • Active New Jersey RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
    • BLS certification required
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
    • Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and 1–2 holidays per unit needs
    • Local candidates are welcome and accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience floating to Newborn Nursery (NBN), Pediatrics, and PICU settings
    • Familiarity with Crib Notes documentation system
    • Experience with advanced respiratory support modalities including HFNC and mechanical ventilation in neonatal populations
