    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to neonates ranging from 29–34 weeks and greater than 34 weeks gestation in a 21-bed NICU and 16-bed Special Care Nursery (SCN), with ratios of 1:2 in the NICU and 1:3–4 in the SCN
    • Perform and manage a broad range of clinical skills including UAC/UVC care, A-line management, central/implanted line care, IV starts, and administration of blood and blood products
    • Support respiratory needs including bubble CPAP, HFNC, Vapotherm, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP), chest tubes, and ETT/NT suctioning
    • Administer and monitor neonatal medications including anti-seizure agents, antibiotics/antivirals, IV vasopressors, steroids, surfactants, and insulin, with accurate neonatal dose calculations
    • Provide GI and nutritional support including breastfeeding support, breast milk handling, bottle/breast/gavage feedings, NEC management, and oral/NG/NJ tube placement
    • Float within skillset as needed to Newborn, Pediatrics, and PICU for appropriate assignments; work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and meet holiday requirements per unit needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active New Jersey RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
    • BLS certification required
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of current Level III NICU experience (Level IV facility; Level III experience accepted)
    • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
    • Locals are welcome and accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • PALS certification preferred
    • Experience with jet ventilators, oscillators, and/or ECMO
    • Familiarity with CritiCool therapeutic hypothermia and neonatal transport reception
    • Charge nurse experience
