    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend required | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to neonates ranging from 29 weeks gestation through term in a Level IV NICU and Special Care Nursery setting, maintaining staffing ratios of 1:2 (NICU) and 1:3–4 (SCN)
    • Perform and manage advanced respiratory support including bubble CPAP, HFNC, Vapotherm, and full ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP)
    • Administer blood and blood products, manage A-lines, central/implanted lines, UAC/UVC, and perform IV starts and maintenance
    • Administer neonatal medications including vasopressors, surfactants, anti-seizure agents, antibiotics/antivirals, insulin, and steroids with accurate neonatal dose calculations
    • Support GI and nutritional needs including breastfeeding support, breast milk handling, gavage feedings, and oral/NG/NJ tube placement
    • Float within skillset to Newborn, Pediatrics, and PICU as unit needs require
    Required Qualifications
    • Active New Jersey RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
    • BLS certification required
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of current Level III or higher NICU experience
    • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
    • Locals are welcome and accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • PALS certification preferred
    • Charge nurse experience preferred
    • Experience with jet ventilators, oscillators, and/or ECMO preferred
    • Experience with CritiCool therapeutic hypothermia and neonatal transport preferred
