    Job Title

    Travel RN – NICU (Nights)

    Location

    Margate, FL | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care in an 18-bed Level II–III NICU serving neonates born at less than 32 weeks gestation and critically ill newborns of all gestational ages
    • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including ventilators, jet vents, oscillator vents, CPAP, nitric oxide delivery systems, heart monitors, pulse oximeters, and IV drips
    • Manage central lines, ELBW patients, PIV placements, and endotracheal tubes in collaboration with neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners
    • Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • May float to the Postpartum unit to care for babies or assist in Transition; will not serve as the sole RN in those settings
    • Communicate effectively and compassionately with families, including those experiencing trauma, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists, lactation consultants, and subspecialists
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license valid in Florida (or compact license eligibility)
    • Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
    • Current BLS certification required
    • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
    • Current S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • National certification such as RNC-LRN, C-NPT, NCC, or C-EFM
    • Previous travel nursing experience with ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced unit and function independently
    • Strong critical thinking skills, emotional empathy and stability, and excellent communication abilities
    • Nonjudgmental approach with the ability to multitask and support traumatized family members
