    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to a high-acuity neonatal patient population including micro-premies (23 weeks), VLBW infants, and complex surgical and medical diagnoses such as NEC, diaphragmatic hernia, spina bifida, and chronic lung disease
    • Operate and monitor advanced equipment including GE ventilators, Servo, HFOV, Jet Vent, ECMO, Nitric Oxide, and IMV; collaborate with Respiratory Therapy who manage ventilators
    • Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3/4 based on acuity, with ancillary support from PCTs and advanced practice providers on the unit
    • Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication system
    • Float within the ICU cluster (PICU and Burn ICU) as required; travelers are first to float
    • Adhere to facility dress code, scheduling requirements including every other weekend and holidays as needed, with no self-scheduling
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Arkansas RN license or valid Compact RN license
    • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU; Level I or Level II experience will not be considered
    • Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC EMR (must be clearly documented on submission)
    • Must pass facility fit test (no facial hair permitted unless for religious beliefs)
    • Must test negative for nicotine
    • Ability to complete 2–3 days of facility orientation and specialty testing upon start
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NCC Neonatal ICU RN (RNC-NIC) certification preferred
    • Prior travel nursing assignment experience preferred
    • Familiarity with Kangaroo Care, Omni bed, and Giraffe isolette equipment
