    Registered Nurse – NICU

    Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a NICU setting with an average daily census of 30 patients
    • Maintain a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio and deliver high-acuity neonatal nursing care
    • Float to Mother Baby and Pediatrics units as needed
    • Provide every-other-weekend coverage as part of standard scheduling requirements
    • Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
    • Be prepared to serve on an Emergency Team and remain at or return to the facility during declared emergency events as directed by unit management
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
    • BLS and NRP certifications required (AHA-issued)
    • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required for previous travelers; minimum 3 years of NICU experience required for first-time travelers
    • Epic EMR experience required
    • NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and current within 4 weeks of submission date
    • Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from address on driver's license to facility address) — local travelers are not accepted
    • 2 Manager or Supervisor references (non-Charge RN) required in PDF format prior to start; not required at submission
    • Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
    • No call-ins permitted — reliability and attendance are strictly enforced
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
    • Familiarity with neonatal patient diagnoses and procedures common to high-acuity NICU environments
    • Experience floating to Mother Baby or Pediatrics units
