    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – NICU

    Location

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (18:45–07:15) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a NICU setting with an average daily census of 30 and a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Float as needed to Mother Baby (couplet care) and Pediatrics units based on departmental needs
    • Provide every-other-weekend coverage as part of standard scheduling expectations
    • Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
    • Be available to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation
    • In the event of an emergency, be prepared to remain at the facility or serve as part of a relief team as directed by unit management
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
    • BLS certification (AHA) required
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required for previous travelers; minimum 3 years of NICU experience required for first-time travelers
    • Epic EMR experience required
    • Up-to-date NURSYS report (within 4 weeks of submission date) required for RNs
    • Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license) to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
    • Familiarity with neonatal patient diagnoses and procedures common to a high-acuity NICU environment
    • Experience with couplet care or pediatric float coverage
