    Contract | Night Shift | Option A: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30, no call) | Option B: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) with a minimum of one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly | Every other weekend coverage required | Floating to other NICU units or facilities may be required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients ranging from 22 weeks gestation and above, including those with diagnoses such as HIE, RDS, sepsis, diaphragmatic hernia, abdominal wall defects, drug exposure/withdrawal, TEF, duodenal atresia, myelomeningocele, and ROP
    • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Arctic Sun, Atom and GE Dual Incubators, Draeger Caleos, radiant warmers, and external shunts
    • Assist with and manage special procedures including full body cooling, chest tubes, tracheostomy management, Avastin administration, laser eye surgery, and surgical repair of anomalies (excluding cardiac)
    • Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR (minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required)
    • Utilize Pyxis/Omnicell unit systems for medication management
    • Float to other qualified NICU units or campuses as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
    Required Qualifications
    • Active South Carolina (SC) RN License
    • BLS certification required
    • NRP certification required
    • STABLE certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience; NICU Level II and Level III experience required
    • Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience
    • First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
    • Must live at least 100 miles from all system facilities to be fully eligible; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are not eligible (exceptions apply for night shift in select specialties — minimum 50 miles from the contracted campus)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with advanced neonatal equipment including Arctic Sun, Blanketroll, Alaris pumps, B Braun and Infinity feeding pumps, and Philips central monitoring
    • Familiarity with ostomy care and external shunt management in the neonatal population
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity NICU setting
