Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care for assigned NICU patients on a per-shift basis
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as appropriate
- Supervise and delegate patient care tasks to appropriate clinical staff
- Support nursing leadership in maintaining high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
- Ensure competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan or compact eligibility
- Prior NICU nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-acuity or Level III/IV NICU environment
- Familiarity with neonatal assessment and specialized neonatal equipment
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary team collaboration skills
