Contract | 26 Weeks | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in an intensive care unit setting
- Adhere to infant-driven feeding protocols, including Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification requirements
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
- Participate in weekend scheduling, with 3 weekends required per 6-week scheduling period
- Work 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required by unit scheduling
- Complete specialty-specific orientation modules as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia; pending license accepted (must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
- BLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification must be in hand at time of submission
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification required (may be submitted with certification pending)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursys verification required at time of submission
- References required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN degree preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
- Familiarity with infant-driven feeding protocols and neonatal care standards
