Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to neonatal patients in an intensive care unit setting
- Monitor and assess the condition of critically ill newborns, implementing individualized care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support neonatal patient outcomes
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and unit protocols
- Support infant-driven feeding practices in accordance with unit standards
- Float within scope of practice to support unit staffing needs as required
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of submission
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted with certification pending)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursys verification required with submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
